Le Château Haut-Vigneau
The property is situated in the commune of
Martillac. Its 20 hectares produce a red wine typical of its
Pessac-Léognan appellation.
With oenological advice from
Christophe Olivier, who works closely with Prof. Denis Dubourdieu,
Eric Perrin strives to produce a truly classic great wine, expressing
both the power and the finesse of its fruit.
Winemaking at Haut-Vigneau is based on a great respect for its
grapes (60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot) and terroir (deep
Garonnaise gravel), together with careful and traditional aging
(in 20% new barrels).
The result is a wine with very pleasing aromas of black fruit
(blackberries, black currant) and subtle roasted notes (grilled
and smoky).
